Commercial Gas Leak - Ridge

4-06 Box, 16:24 - Engine 41 and Squad 4 was dispatched to the 13000 block of Point Lookout Road in Ridge for the reported odor of gas in the building. Chief 4 arrived on location at 16:32 with a one story commercial building and established the command. Engine 41 arrived and was assigned the recon group. Crews from Squad 4 and E-41 entered both establishments and metered the interior for gas. Engine 141 was assigned to side Charlie exterior to investigate the propane tank and heating units. Engine 141 officer reported that the propane tanks had depleted and were empty. After further investigation it was determined that the building was safe for re-entry. Units cleared at 16:53.
