On June 23rd 2020, the hard work of the St. Mary's County Health Department (SMCHD), St. Mary's County Rescue Chief Shawn Davidson, and members of Lexington Park Volunteer rescue Squad culminated in a great day of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing for the public. Over 230 community members were tested. Most from the comfort and safety of their car. Testing is a vital part of the recovery plan for the state of Maryland and St. Mary's county. We would like to thank SMC Health Department for the opportunity to provide this vital testing resource to the St. Mary's community. Thank you to all in the community that took this opportunity to get tested and for making this testing event a success. We look forward to working with all on future testing events.
