The Hollywood VFD Cadet program is a structured learning environment that meets every Thursday evening to teach Children from ages 12-15 how to become a Firefighter. Cadets learn about day to day fire department operations, partake in basic fire training, learn to use basic firefighting equipment and learn the value of teamwork and customer service!! In these pictures, current HVFD Cadets practiced donning their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This Cadet program will prepare these young children to the potential of becoming a Firefighter in a fun and safe environment. at the age of 16.
