Announcement: Passing of Past Fire Chief Dan Stevens

The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Past Fire Chief Dan Stevens on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Chief Stevens faithfully served the citizens of Charles County since 1975, dedicating his life to the fire service in many roles within our department, the county, and across the State of Maryland. Most notably, he served as Fire Chief for 22 years.

We ask that you please keep Chief Stevens, his immediate family, and his extended Fire & EMS family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
