On Monday evening, the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD), alongside neighboring fire companies, responded to a tragic structure fire in our first-due response area. This devastating event struck the home of our Past Fire Chief and current Board of Director, Bobby Johnson. While we are grateful for the swift and coordinated efforts of all responders, the impact on the Johnson family has been profound. This tragedy is particularly heartbreaking as it injured Bobby’s young granddaughter, Rylee, and caused her to lose everything in her room. The fire has displaced the family during the holiday season, making this an especially challenging time. In the spirit of community and service, we are rallying together to provide support to the Johnson family. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist with their recovery efforts, and your contribution can make a tangible difference in their lives. We invite you to donate and share this campaign to extend the kindness and support that Bobby has given to this community over the years. Let’s join together to bring hope and relief to a family who has dedicated so much to serving others. Donate Below: Rylee’s Recovery & Overcoming Fire Loss Thank you for your compassion and generosity. Together, we can make a difference. |
