Accident with Entrapment in Dunkirk

At 1245 hours, Squad 5, Engine 52, Ambulance 58, the Deputy Chief (5B) & Fire Chief were alerted for the serious accident at Route 260 & Chews Branch Road. The Dunkirk Volunteers found a three vehicle collision with one person trapped. The crew from Squad 5 went to work extricating the patient in eight minutes by performing a driver's side wall removal.

One patient was flown to a local trauma center and one transported by ground. Engine 52 handled the Landing Zone. The Dunkirk Volunteers cleared the call at 1330 hours. Chief 5 held the command & Chief 5B handled the extrication group.
